Is there a BIG difference between HUGE/Popular Universities and Small Universities/Colleges?
Is there a big difference if I go to Eastern Connecticut State University, Central Connecticut State University or UConn? Will my future, my future job and education all be the same whether I go to Eastern or Central vs. UConn? Going to Eastern or Central is cheaper than going to UConn…many people go to the schools and aren’t they also able to get the same job as I do if they major in the same subject? What is the difference between going to a huge very well known university vs. a smaller not as well know or popular university/college?
Above all when you choose a university/college, you have to pick the one that’s best for you and the course you want to do.
They could in theory get the same job as you if they major in the same subject, but that depends on how good your degree is compared to theirs. The university you go to still counts for something, so the popular one might be popular for that reason – it has a better name when it comes to having your degree recognised by employers. It’s that reason that makes people want to go to Harvard, Princeton etc, Oxford/Cambridge and St Andrews.
