As daunting as the idea of trying to make your own website from start to finish is, trust me, the only thing you need is the right information and the proper mindset. I can help with both as I’ve been in the same place you are now. Yet, I have now created half a dozen sites at the time of writing and I first started building sites about a year ago.
Once you say to yourself, “Yes, I’m going to make my own website” start doing it!. Sure, you’ll make mistakes along the way and encounter situations that will have you pulling your hair out. It’s all part of the learning process. When I stared to make my own website, I honestly thought that it couldn’t be done. But, here I am! I really do want to share with you the tools and tips that helped me get to where I am now.

How to Build A Website Using Dreamweaver

1.Start Dreamweaver
2.In the toolbar menu at the top go to Site
3.Click “New”.
4.Click on ” Local Info” on the left hand pane. In “Site Name” type “Your Web site’s name”. In “Local Root Folder” click on the yellow icon to browse for the folder containing your local web site files. If necessary create a new folder. Under “HTTP Address”, type the address or the name of your website. Check the cache “Enable Cache” box.
5.Click on “remote info” on the left hand pane. Under “Access”, choose “FTP”. Under “FTP Host”, type “the ftp host details from your hosting provider”. Leave “host directory “blank, unless you have been given one. Enter the details you were given by your hosting provider under log in or password. Check the “save” box. Check the “Passive FTP” box. Under “check in/out”, check “Enable Check In and Check Out” and “Check out Files when Opening”. Enter your details under “Check out Name” and “Email Address”.
6.Click OK.
7.Your site structure should be viewable now.
